Week 1:
Here is my proposal for my project.
Week 2:
Prior to the start of the semester, I have already started to try out Live2D and how to separate the layers.
Week 4:
Week 5:
I first want to start creating a story for my character, and I stumbled upon 'Canang sari', a Balinese offering to the sky.
https://www.ainhoagarmendia.com/BALI-FLOWERS#:~:text=Inside%2C the colourful flowers are, West represents the God Mahadeva. Balinese flora/colour
“Inside, the colourful flowers are arranged in the orientation as balinese hindu tradition follows: Green color pointing to the North represents the God Vishnu. White towards East represents the God Iswara. Red looks South representing the God Brahma. Yellow and Orange in the West represents the God Mahadeva.”

Ideas:
Rough idea:
After getting awoken by a tremble, ____ rose to see that humans are destroying his temple and he turns to a virtual world to attempt in getting his home back.
He comes to show the world the culture of balinese hinduism through the virtual world.
*I can be the reminder of the prayer, due to progressive time less and lesser people believe in the magic of the nature. Before people would pray with canang sari, and now barely any.
*Maybe even after last old person made a canang sari they passed away and I could be birth?
*So i can act as a reminder.
*Maybe toggles red for angry, yellow for happy, green for disgust/confused, white is just base.
Name: Arap, Bojah or Ojah
Rough draft:
As the last believer/shaman drew breath, she made the last ever Canang sari, and in that moment of despair, Bojah was created. As Bojah grasped his surrounding, he understood what he was created for.
With the progressiveness of time, many people grew unfamiliar with traditional cultures, and one of them…
As the only shaman drew her last breath making her last Canang Sari, there was a moment of hopelessness. And in that moment Bojah bloomed from the offering. And as Bojah set foot holding on to her Shaman, he knew what he was meant for.
He would press on with his stubborn attitude and his fiery passion to remind everyone why he was created/ of his origin.
Following are my horrible penmanship brainstorming:
Shirt exploration with patterns 1
Shirt exploration with patterns 2
Week 8:Sarong accessory
Shirt patterns
Sarong side patterns
color exploration
finalized sketch with colour
After confirming the sketch and colouring with Mr Kannan I then proceeded to separate the lineart and fill it in 1 by 1.
Week 9:
Lineart separation
Color detailing
live2d interface
This is my first time working with Live2D for a project and this being my major project was a huge gamble. Most of the time that was dedicaated to this project went into this process. The time taken to finish this project was 2 weeks excluding the touching up and physics calculation.
Firstly: After exporting the photoshop into Live2D, I have to organise the layers into specific folders.
Secondly: I have to add individual artmeshes into the layers themselves to enable the layer to be animated. each dot represents a movement. and each intersecting polygon controls the pixels around and within the selection. There are automated process for bigger objects such as the Sarong layer but there was more touch up that needed to be done.
Statistics of the model
Third: After creating all the art meshes, I then baked the model into an alpha sheet.
Fourth: After baking, we can finally move on to the main section, which is to animate it. The animation itself is a challenge I have to learn. Another obstacle that was really difficult was perspective. The face's perspective was the biggest hurdle as it was hard to get a natural angle.
To be honest, this process kind of stretches out to be the next sixth, seventh, and eighth process. I first started on the different mouth movements, then I moved onto the hands, shirt, sleeves (which I had to re-export due to some problem with the shadow layer.) sarong, and feet (which I also have to re-export and continue fixing for the next week due to the angle looking weird.)
Then finally the face. Changing the face shape wasn't too difficult, but changing the face features accordingly took alot of trial and error and days of frustration.
Parameters setting
From the figure above, you can see the mouth form and mouth open. These are setting called parameters and the circles are called key forms. Each key form represents a specific place the art mesh is supposed to look. For example, if the mouth form the left is sad, and the key form of mouth open on the left is closed the character sill looks like his mouth is closed and sad. going left with the mouth open parameter, the character begins to open his mouth which the designer would have to rig.
Nextly: After the rigging of all the animation is done, I had to move on to calculating the physics of the hair and bounciness of the shirt which wasn't too difficult.
Week 12:
Now that the main part of this project is finished. I started on making the collaterals, I started on making splash art from the colour detailing I have. Mr. Kannan gave me a really good suggestion, as I was worried that I wouldnt have time for a full out splash art for Bojah, he recommended that I word with what I have since there isnt much time left.
Splash art
The process was really easy, I just had to move some layers, and redraw an arm.
Nextly, I made multiple chibis to print out in acrylic standees as merch.
Chibis
Week 13:
Most 'Vtuber' showcase would including an animation from their model to show their movements.
I do think that the animation could be improved, I feel like since I recorded it with the built in live2D animation software, which dosent include the physics settings I previously made. This wasent improve with my lack of animation skills as well.
Lastly: Most 'Vtuber' have a design sheet to show the detailed version of the model and its sketches.

Maybank:
The session was really engaging Mr Fairuz was well-spoken and managed to keep my attention most of the time. He gave us 7 tips to do financing and I found these very interesting. The first one was to save 1000 rm, how long it will take, even like starting with saving 20 rm, to delegating specific amounts of money to specific needs. He mentioned zero-based budgeting as well, list ur income, list ur expenses, assigning each ringgit to each category. The second one is to pay off high-interest debt which I'm fortunate enough to not apply to me. The third is to create emergency savings where you can go on 3 to 6 months without income and keep this money safe and accessible. Fourth is protection, buy health insurance, general insurance, and life insurance. Next was investment followed by big first purchases and giving back to the community.
Lokalab:
producer's responsibility: leading the project, a middle person between clients and departments
types of production:
film/music videos
corporate video
live broadcast
weddings
advertisements
tv series
Producers should be good with PR as well, starting small from like weddings and corporate videos to long tv series and documentaries.
Most planning and effort goes into pre-production, second most important is post-production, as how good the shot is if the edit is bad it'll come out bad. only 20% lies in production.
We should be able to take criticism well and you need to have passion for the industry
good work ethics:
- when agreed on an agreement see through it
- payment
- you can always learn something
Linkedin:
Linkedin reminded us to have social media and online presence, choose a good photo and interact with potential employers, and stay formal.
Agoda:
trillions were lost from covid, pent-up demand for travel, and anxieties are still prevalent
- cleanliness
- safety, comfort
- cashless payments
local travel is more favourable than global travel. there is a surge in domestic tourism.
