2. How does plastic pollution harm the environment? (Facebook)
5. At EZPlast, we accept plastic types 2 and 5! (Facebook)
Plastic 2: HDPE
Design Collaboration, Taylors University
Instructions:
After confirming the ideas and output for a client, now we move on to prototyping the outputs, I am in charge of creating the mascot, Fazal is responsible for the animation, Meiling for the brand identity, and Yumnu and Jeyann for the social media templates.
Research:
I would have to follow the brand guideline provided by Meiling specifically the colour. Focus on the friendliness and approachability of the mascot.
Since the colours didn't represent the brand enough I need to make it related more to plastic.
Since I'm going to be making specific poses, I am going to reference the social media requirements and create the pose accordingly.
Social media post:
5. At EZPlast, we accept plastic types 2 and 5! (Facebook)
6. Do you know what plastics are in type 2 and type 5 categories? (Facebook)
7. Reduce, Reuse and… Recycle with EZplast! (Facebook)
The poses I'm going to do are, Pointing, confused, sitting down with bottles, and scared.

Process:

Figure 1.2 Poses
Figure 1.3 colour trials
Next Course of Action:
The first thing I want to get done with is the colouring variations to show my group members, I want to get the colours done first before moving on to making the finalization of the poses.
Afterwards, I will continue making the poses for social media and other digital content.
Submission:

Figure 1.6 pose 3 present
Figure 1.7 pose 4 frustrated
Figure 1.8 pose 4.5 frustrated with bottles
After finishing the mascot I helped out Je Yann with some of the Facebook post assets. It was discussed to make plastic type 2 assets.
- Sturdy bottles for cosmetics and household cleaner
- Stools, chairs, and sunbeds for outdoor use
- Toys and playground equipment
- Some plastic bags
- Flexible pipes
- Bottle crates
- Rope
- Plastic envelopes
- Water, juice and milk jugs
- Liner in cereals boxes
As some of the assets were already made and can be reused, I just made the ones that were not yet created.
Feedback:
Week 10:
The mascot looks good so far, it captures the brand well and its cuteness and flat graphic.
Week 12:
The plastic rope asset wasn't clear enough and Je Yann came up with a better design.
Week 13:
So far we are on track just a few more things to polish up and we will be done.
